💥 Please note our installations are NOT based on a single layer of sand/granite dust as this is not a sufficient/stable base. Our minimum depth is 100mm using type 1 stone and granite dust. 💥

All artificial grass is ”pet friendly” to an extent, We offer dedicated pet grasses so odours are easier to manage for years to come. Understanding the difference between pet friendly & dedicated pet grass is a must.

OK so this is something which we get asked alot, there are many different opinions on this but not all work!! 

 In general all grasses are pet friendly to a point, we advise customers with 3 dogs or more to use polyurethane grass. The sub base, infill and maintenance that are key to keeping them looking good and odour free. 

We recommend having a pet lawn installed with the specialised infill Envirofill/Zeofill because this breaksdown the urate crystals and stop ammoina forming also reducing the cleaning required, Inexperienced installers will advise the use of disinfectant ie Jeyes Fluid or Zoflora but this only masks the smell and doesn`t touch the ammonia, if anything it makes the problem worse in the long term. Smaller lawn usually benefit more from this.

The infill also helps protects the backing and fibres when the dogs run around  and play.

 We have been out to survey many installations less than 2 years old where the customer wasn`t advised correctly and are now left with a lawn that smells pungent of ammonia and cannot afford to replace. It seems alot of businesses call themselves "specialist/experts" when their main business is not in the artificial grass trade and therefore do not have the correct knowledge to advise but merely to get a sale. Using a single layer granite/sand base is not acceptable for pet use due to its absorbing nature, And should never be offered/accepted for pet use. You will find many low priced lawns around but the quality has to be comprised to make it, this is usually chinese imported grass which cannot be guaranteed to be lead/cadium free. The latex is usually mixed with sand to make it go further, allowing them to reduce production costs.

Only specialised installers can give the correct advice and although the infill expense maybe high, but as a one off cost this will stop any future issues. And comes with a manufacturer guarantee.

The cheapest price isn`t always the right price!! We would rather lose a job than install it incorrectly because we know what will happen and it is not something we want to be known for.
